Carroll Lutheran Village Lauded for Workforce Development
Carroll Lutheran Village was honored with a 2012 Business Achievement Award from the Carroll County Department of Economic Development at the 6th Annual Carroll County Business Awards Program on November 8 at The Portico in Westminster.
The Workforce Development Award was presented to Carroll Lutheran Village for its commitment to employee development initiatives, including student employee scholarship programs, a partnership with Carroll Community to provide clinical training to nursing students, utilization of the Business & Employment Resource Center to identify and assess qualified candidates, and ongoing opportunities for continued learning and professional growth.
More than one-third of Carroll Lutheran Village’s 470 employees have been employed for five years or more. Several have been on staff since the retirement community opened in 1980.
Carroll Lutheran Village is an accredited continuing care retirement community in Westminster that includes 398 homes and apartments, 50 assisted living suites in the Diven House and 103 skilled nursing beds in the Health Care Center.
