Carroll Lutheran Village Resident Named Distinguished Volunteer
Carroll Lutheran Village resident George Beck has been recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Western Maryland Chapter for his volunteerism in fundraising. He was one of 24 volunteers honored at a luncheon at Hollow Creek Golf Club in Middletown on November 9 in celebration of National Philanthropy Day.
Beck was nominated for the award for his vision, commitment and personal generosity in improving technology at Carroll Lutheran Village to enhance staff training and lifelong learning for residents, particularly through the acquisition of two new digital white boards for use in trainings, presentations and programs.

Carroll Lutheran Village is a non-profit, accredited continuing care retirement community in Westminster that includes 398 homes and apartments, 50 assisted living suites in the Diven House and 103 skilled nursing beds in the Health Care Center.
