Friends of the Village Gives $40,000

The Friends of the Village auxiliary presented a $40,000 gift to Carroll Lutheran Village on December 1.  The funds will be applied toward the renovation of 32-year old resident bathing areas in the skilled nursing Health Care Center.

The renovation will update and modernize the bathing areas to make them less institutional and more residential in appearance, improve functionality for residents and staff, and offer a more comfortable and dignified experience for residents.

The Friends of the Village raised the funds through a variety of events including international-themed dinners, a Christmas bazaar and breakfast, and a mystery dinner theater.

Carroll Lutheran Village is an accredited, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Westminster that includes 398 homes and apartments, 50 assisted living suites in the Diven House and 103 skilled nursing beds in the Health Care Center.
