NoWorriesIT & ProTech Recycle Computers for Cash Donation to The Arc Carroll County

NoWorriesIT & ProTech Recycle Computers for Cash Donation to The Arc Carroll County

NoWorriesIT and ProTech, two Westminster-based technology solutions companies, have partnered to donate $577.64 to The Arc Carroll County by recycling old and unusable computers for cash rebate.

This spring NoWorriesIT expanded their “recycling for charities” event at their Airport Business Park location, by creating a month-long public computer recycling drive in April. Many home users from the county dropped off unusable equipment to add to the old computers in the NoWorriesIT shop which had accumulated from business clients of both NoWorriesIT and ProTech throughout the year.

All computer data was sanitized, free of charge, by NoWorriesIT systems engineers, and delivered to a local recycle center.  Cash rebate received from the center was matched by NoWorriesIT and ProTech and donated to The Arc.

Special thanks to Paul Cross of ProTech for all his efforts in this project, and to all the businesses and home users who took the time to drop off computers. Watch for details about the fall public recycling drive in mid-September to benefit Neighbors in Need, a program of the Human Services Programs of Carroll County (HSP).

“It’s a win-win,” says Don McCombie, company president. “It’s great for the environment as well as the community.”
