"What have gifted education opportunities meant to me?"
Maryland Coalition for Gifted and Talented Education is pleased to announce a student essay contest open to all Maryland public school students currently in grades 5-8 who have participated in gifted and talented services or programs during their education.
The essay contest winner will be awarded a $50.00 check from MCGATE, a certificate, and a letter of recognition from the Maryland State Advisory Council on Gifted and Talented Education. Copies of the letter, certificate, and essay will also be sent to his or her local Superintendent. In addition, the winner will be given a special invitation to the Maryland State Department of Education's Celebrating GT Education Reception at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD, on February 28, 2013.
