Applicants Being Accepted for Student Rep on Board of Education

The Carroll County Student Government Association is seeking applicants for student representative-elect on the Board of Education.

The Carroll County Student Government Association (CCSGA) is accepting applications from current ninth and tenth grade students who are interested in serving as the student representative-elect on the Board of Education of Carroll County for the 2013-14 school year.

O’Reilly Miani, a member of the Class of 2013 at Francis Scott Key High School, is the current student representative on the Board of Education.

The student representative is elected by the CCSGA for a two-year term. During the first year, the student representative-elect will shadow the current student representative to learn the responsibilities of the position. The student representative attends all Board of Education meetings and represents an informed student viewpoint on educational issues.

Additional information and the application packet are available on the CCPS website at www.carrollk12.org under Resources for Students. Completed applications must be received by January 4, 2013.
