'Ask a Cop' Coming to Westminster Patch

Have a question for your local law enforcement officials? Patch will help find an answer.

What is the penalty for not yielding to a pedestrian in a crosswalk? Is it illegal to leave a dog in a car on a hot day? Is there a curfew in Westminster city limits?

Have you ever had a question for a police officer but never had the opportunity to ask one? Well, here is your chance.

"Ask a Cop" gives you the opportunity to ask those questions. Patch will submit your questions to Westminster Police Chief Jeffrey Spaulding and members of the police department will answer them to the best of their ability.

Please send your question to kym.byrnes@patch.com or post it in the comment section below.

The questions should be related to the law and not be political in nature. The police response will not serve as legal advice.

Can anything be done to stop Westminster police from speeding on Willis St? The police set a bad example by speeding around the corner at Court and Willis and gunning it on the Willis St. This is consistent behavior and appears to be related to returning to the police station and not to answering citizen calls.
