Reader's Choice: Favorite Breakfast Spot

What establishment has the best breakfast in Westminster?

Our inaugural Best of Patch contest kicks off with a hunt for the best place to kick off your day. Who has the best breakfast in town?

Experts claim breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So who do you trust with that great responsibility?

Here are some of our favorite places, but if we're leaving anyone off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:

Denny's

Bob Evans

IHop

J Cafe

Plum Crazy Diner

Harry's Main Street Grill

Sam's Bagel

Birdie's Cafe

Baugher's

Rafael's

Stables

O'Lordan's

CUP Tea Bar

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments in the section below or in the reviews on their directory listings linked above.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by Patch, based on poll results, reviews on Patch Places and in comments on this article. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

If your business is listed here (or if you own another business in town), learn how to claim your listing for free on Westminster Patch by watching this video.

We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

So tell us which is your favorite place for breakfast. And don't forget to tell us why in the comments below.

Next week's Best of will ask you to weigh in on the best gym (workout facility) in Westminster.

My favorite if I want a big breakfast is Harry's, but for a quick tea and bagel or scone, I really like Birdies. I try to stay away from the big mega chains--I would rather go to a place where I know the owner and feel comfortable lingering.

Our family loves Stables for breakfast. Good food, never a wait for a table, and friendly staff.

J cafe over Bob's any day! Local owner, great food, fair prices and portion size vs. chain, prepackaged, rising prices & shrinking portions.

Baugher's, hands down! A good, established, country restaurant. The food is great & the waitresses are always the best. I've been going there for breakfast for years, wouldn't go anywhere else.

As an employee of J Cafe, thank you for the wonderful comments. As we just opened this past fall, we are happy to hear any ideas comments about our current menu, and what you think should be featured on our breakfast menu. Our breakfast panini and belgium waffle are usually quite popular, but we change our menu seasonally, and are definitely open to hear your suggestions!
