The Sykesville Fire Department carnival grounds are abuzz with fun this week as the fire department hosts its annual carnival. 

The carnival is the biggest fundraiser for the fire department.

On tap for live music Wednesday is Roll the Dice, a country/rock band. The Sykesville ambassador contest is also Wednesday and a wristband is $17 to ride all night.

Thursday sees country band The McDuffees on stage. Once again a wristband is $17 to ride all night.

Fireworks are on tap for Friday night with a rain date of Saturday night. The musical act is Inside Out, playing country music. To ride all night a wristband is $20.

The music on Saturday night will be provided by Cam and the Lifters. They entertain with 50s and 60s music. The wristband to ride all night is $20.

The food stands open at 6 p.m. and the rides start up at 7 p.m.
