Carroll County schools will be closed Monday, Sept. 17 for Rosh Hashanah. Schools will also be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 26 for Yom Kippur.

It seems closing schools for religious days for specific religions is ridiculous. Why woul gentiles get off for Jewish holidays. Why not give Muslims several days off for their holidays? What about Mormon sacred days or Hindu sacred days? What ever happened to separation of church and state?
