City of Westminster Hurricane Updates: Water/Sewer Bills, Trash Pick Up and More

Westminster updates resulting from Hurricane Sandy.

Water and Sewer Bill Deadline Extended

Water and sewer bills paid to Westminster city government are due to be paid by Oct. 30 but given that city offices are closed, city officials said that the deadline has been extended until Friday, Nov. 2.  

Trash Pick Up (Update)

Regular trash is being picked up today (Monday). Ecology Trash Services will not be collecting trash Tuesday. Tuesday's trash will be collected on Wednesday.

Halloween Parade on Main Street

The Halloween Parade is scheduled for Tuesday evening and city officials said they are checking with the American Legion, the sponsoring organization, to see if they have made a decision on whether or not to cancel.

I can't thank our citizens enough for preparing, mitigating before the storm and staying off the roads during the storm event. While we lost power in portions of the city, a number of locations have had power restored. While we are still not totally out of the dangerous parts of this large weather event, we continue to urge our citizens to use caution and care if venturing outside. From the Mayor and Council we say Thank You!
