Congressman Van Hollen Visits McDaniel College
The Maryland Congressman is touring Carroll and Frederick Counties today.
Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen is spending today visiting Carroll and Frederick Counties to meet with students, farmers, and small business owners to discuss issues facing the area, according to a news release.
These stops are part of Congressman Van Hollen's ongoing listening tour of the new areas added to the Eighth Congressional District after Maryland redistricting.
Van Hollen's first stop this morning was at McDaniel College in Westminster. He attended Herb Smith's Amerian Political Institutions class at 10 a.m.
The rest of the day includes an 11:45 a.m. tour of Whitmore Farms located in Emmitsburg; a 1:15 p.m. tour of Hood College in Frederick; a 3:15 p.m. tour of local businesses in downtown Middletown in Frederick; and a 4:30 p.m. "meet and greet" at the Frederick County Fair.
