Crews Battle Pennsylvania Avenue House Fire Sunday

No one was injured in the fire.

Around 2:18 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, the Westminster Fire Department was dispatched for a house fire at 206 Pennsylvania Avenue.

There were no major injuries resulting from the fire.

According to the fire department's website, Engine 31 and Chief 3-1 arrived reporting fire showing from the second and third floor of the house. As units were getting control of the fire on the second floor, the third floor became fully involved.

With limited access from the interior, crews used Tower 3 from the exterior to control the fire on the third floor, allowing crews to re-enter and finish extinguishing the fire, according to the website.

Westminster Fire Department President Bob Cumberland said that Westminster, Reese, Pleasant Valley, New Windsor, Manchester, Taneytown, Lineboro and Hampstead fire companies helped battle the blaze.
