Good Music, Good Cause: Cheryl Wheeler Benefit Concert for HSP
Folk singer and songwriter Cheryl Wheeler will perform on May 18 to benefit Human Service Programs.
Nationally renowned folk singer and songwriter Cheryl Wheeler will perform a concert at the Carroll Arts Center to benefit Human Service Programs of Carroll County (HSP).
According to an event flyer, Wheeler’s musical range is broad, from gut-busting humor and vitriolic satire, to heart-breaking emotion. Her low key, self-deprecating manner, quirky humor, natural story telling ability and beautiful voice have made her one of the shining lights of today’s folk scene.
HSP is committed to improving the quality of life and self-sufficiency of at-risk and low-income Carroll County residents by providing assistance with basic needs, advocacy, linkages to resources and opportunities to enhance life skills.
The concert is Friday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $50 for VIP. VIP tickets include prime seating, a wine and cheese reception prior to the concert and listing as a donor in the HSP newsletter and website.
The Carroll Arts Center is located at 91 West Main Street in Westminster. For more information call the Carroll Arts Center at 410-848-7272 or Human Service Programs at 410-857-2999.
