Using data from the American Community Survey, the site displays median rent and income figures by census tract.

The Westminster area is contained in 10 different tracts, or statistical subdivisions as determined by the Census. 

The highest median monthly rent in the Westminster area—$1,370—can be found in tract 5077.03, which is in the area surrounding Wakefield Valley Golf Course.

The lowest—$443—is in tract 5030, which covers the area from Stone Road/Camp Hashawha north to the Pa. line. (Note that the figures do not include owner-occupied homes.)

The statewide middle range for Maryland—defined as the middle 20 percent of census tracts—runs from $877 to $1,072. Three of the census tracts in the Westminster area have media rents that fall above that range, the other seven fall below the state median.
