The Girl Scouts have a lot to celebrate and they are inviting the community to celebrate with them this Saturday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Town Mall in Westminster. 

This Saturday, Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts are invited to take part in activities that include: rock wall climbing, story sharing, STEM activities and crafts.

There will be cake to celebrate Girl Scouts of the USA’s national 100^th birthdayand Girl Scouts of Central Maryland’s 50^th birthday—and because the annual Girl Scout Cookie Sale kicked off on Sep. 14, there will also be Girl Scout cookies available for purchase. 

Erin Sanders, who earned membership in the Council’s 1,000+ club by selling 1,004 boxes of cookies—will be at the celebration to share her sales tips to all interested girls.

“It will be a great day of fun,” said event organizer Tony Roman, who serves as a Carroll County Service Unit Manager volunteer for the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland Council.  “It’s an opportunity for all girls to enjoy activities that many Girl Scouts participate in and to learn more about this great organization; our hope is that some girls will decide to join.”
