Kids Enjoy Triathlon at City Park

Westminster Department of Recreation and Parks celebrate National Kids to Parks Day.

The City of Westminster Recreation and Parks Department held a “Small Fry Triathlon” on Saturday for children ages 3-6 at Westminster City Park during the National Kids to Parks Day celebration.

Kids ran, “biked” (or “triked”) and “swam” (through the sprinkler) in this fun, friendly competition.

National Kids to Parks Day was celebrated in support of the National Park Trust, sponsor of National Kids to Parks Day and First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move Cities and Towns initiative.

For more information about the recreation and parks department and upcoming events, visit www.westminstermd.gov or call 410-848-9161.
