Live Coverage: Carroll Commissioner's PlanMaryland Forum

Carroll County's commissioners are hosting a forum to discuss the science behind PlanMaryland.

The Carroll County Board of Commissioners is hosting a PlanMaryland forum at the Pikesville Hilton.

A panel of speakers will be speaking about the science behind the state's sustainability plan.

There was an invitation list for the event and any extra seats were made available to the public for $25.

Nice to see such a lavish affair at Carroll taxpayer expense. While teachers in Carroll teachers go without pay raises and school supplies while your tax dollars go for a nice lunch for right wing propagandists. While Carroll library funds are cut, funds are used to argue that the world is flat. The Commissioner's mantra should be to keep Carroll residents stupid and ignorant with a focus on the rapture instead of real science..

i AGREE...unfortunately in CC, the Times is sort of held hostage by the advertisers, as neutral as they would like to appear...Patch has become an alternative source of information for people who would like to see behind the curtain of deceit that this BOC has erected...please tell people about this valuable resource..GREAT JOB PATCH...

Well, I'm sure Rothchild's and Frazier's arms must be tired by now, what with all that back-slapping after pulling off their Halloween Tea Party Party. Having sat through the full five-hour live blog (thank you Patch!), I'm not real excited about watching the video. But I will force myself to watch, just to remind myself of how self-serving, hypocritical, pompous and ridiculous this BOC is. Mr. Shoemaker, good call to stay away. You may have bought yourself a few votes with that move. Mr. Howard, your name was on the agenda but no one seemed to know why you were AWOL. It will be interesting to hear how that gets explained. Or could it be that you've finally see Frazier and Rothschild for what they are? And Mr. Roush, what were you thinking??? What are you thinking??? What do you stand for??? Or against??? Your silence may end up speaking more loudly than you think.

Patch is "da man" for covering the Circus today. What a damn shame it is though that a live feed video wasn't available. What a bigger shame this Carroll County meeting was held in the wrong County and that citizens were charged a $25 fee to attend.
This marks a new low point in Carroll Countty history. Well, I just hope the Earl of Baloney and his band of brothers enjoyed the free lunch, courtesy of Carroll County's taxpayers

Happy Halloween, folks. The party may be over, but the Tea Party-controlled GOP is alive and well. Especially in Loudon County, VA. Take a look:

The Commissioners forgot to stick to their governing principles to host an event that used taxpayer’s money to fund it in addition to sponsors from like-minded groups and a stacked deck of speakers. In addition to keep the public from participating by charging admission and holding it during normal working hours.

To those who voted for this group, you certainly got your monies worth

Cripes, where did Simpson find these "panelists"? I cannot believe us taxpayers are paying for his services--the best he can do is find this pop-eyed conspiracy theorists to represent this issue? This farce was an abuse of government money and power. Rothschild is in dereliction of his duties as an elected official and should be removed from office.

Not taking live questions from the audience was pretty stinky.

No, Robert, what was stinky was Rothschild's chiding the crowd when someone tried to ask a question from the floor. "I'm the moderator and I will ask the questions!" What an ego-maniac. Reminds me of a schoolyard bully.

By the way...I'm not so stupid as not to think that the BOC doesn't check this site....but for any of the readers who are interested in the current situation of the WTE incinerator situation...check your local Comcast for "The Flip Side"--a new program to expose the "counter" opinions that are typically found in the more available to the public. The CCT is sort of held hostage by their advertisers because, after all...they pay to support the paper and have some sway in what goes on. I do give the people at the CCT credit for walking a real narrow tightrope...but am so pleased that there is another outlet for people to express their opinions...thanks to Patch!!!

Commissioner Howard told Patch yesterday that he was in fact at the event from about 4 until 5:30. He said he had a previously scheduled engagement in DC to attend in the afternoon and left the forum at 5:30 to go partake in Halloween activities with his kids.

plan Maryland is AGENDA 21 . The goal being to make it ever more costly to live in suburbia . Newly elected commissioners under the leadership of Doug Howard made national news for their dismantling of the structure put in place by previous a progressive commissioner.

All Carroll County taxpayers need to know....google "AGENDA 21 for dummies " and watch the video.....This is what "sustainability " and "environmentalism" are all about . They are bait and switch feel good "green" BS methodologies to make living in rural areas more costly so as to nudge populations back in to the cities .

The reason is that the fundamental transformer in chief that is ushering in Marxism in DC want to CONTROL YOU and your family....and it is being done the slow "progressive" anti-capitalism anti-American liberal way.....

Wake up CC before you can't afford to live here any more......

What had been set up was the beginning of the agenda 21 plan to make us all pay to have our homes inspected by the government for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. At first there would be recommendations ...Next will come mandates...and eventually rules of compliance...

IF you don't comply or can't afford the updates your the government will do the repairs and put a lien on your home....Marxism is at the doorstep of Carroll county .....and for sure in Annapolis
