Man Charged With Thefts From Cars Parked Outside of Finksburg Homes

The thefts occurred overnight on Nov. 12.

A Finksburg man was charged yesterday afternoon for stealing from several unlocked vehicles parked at private homes in the Finksburg area, according to a press release.

Cody David Pierce, 22, was charged with theft, fourth degree burglary, and "rogue and vagabond," for the theft of cash, jewelry, electronics and other valuables taken from several unlocked vehicles, according to the release.

At least eight residents along Turnberry Court and Lawndale Road in Finksburg reported thefts from their vehicles overnight on Nov. 12 and into the early morning of Nov. 13.

Sheriff’s deputies were led to Pierce after witnesses reported his vehicle speeding away from where deputies found a wallet belonging to a Finksburg victim along a remote New Windsor roadway last Tuesday, according to the release.

Sheriff’s Deputies serving a search and seizure warrant at Pierce’s home Sunday recovered items belonging to several of the theft victims.

Pierce was released by the District Court Commissioner on personal recognizance pending trial. The Sheriff’s Office investigation continues and additional charges are pending. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 410-386-2900, or the toll free anonymous TIPS Hotline at 1-888-399-TIPP (8477).

Funny! They found nothing in the home and what you have listed here.... Not on the list that Was not given to the home owner when asked...
Deputy Simmons, why did you let another deputy run your investigation?
Wonder what the home surveillance system shows……

What a scumbag. How about getting a job and earning your own money instead of stealing from hard-working people while they sleep? Great job Deputy Simmons, keep up the awesome work! Wow, doing a quick check against this scum of the planet reveals he has no business being back in society, now or ever. Go to the Maryland criminal court database and you can see this inbred moron has done nothing for society except take from it: http://casesearch.courts.state.md.us/inquiry/inquirySearch.jis
"Theft", "Burglary", "Theft", "Burglary"....
Keep him in jail forever.

He is probably the dirt bag that came through my neighborhood a few years ago and stole from unlocked vehicles as well, right next door to river downs.

Well I see they let him go. NOLLE PROSEQUI, I don't know how to pronounce it but basically not enough evidence. Better luck next time. There will be a next time.
