McDaniel's New Stadium Debuts at Saturday Football Game

Construction on the Kenneth R. Gill Stadium will not be complete but spectators can use parts of the new grandstand.

With construction still being completed on Kenneth R. Gill ’61 Stadium, McDaniel has announced some special considerations for fans attending this Saturday’s home football game against Muhlenberg.

There will be access to the new grandstand, where limited seating will be available, via the sidewalk on the south side (scoreboard end) of the field. All spectators interested in entering the bowl for tailgating must enter through the new Main Street entrance and proceed to the stadium loop as always, following parking instructions.

The gate for Saturday’s game opens at 10 a.m. and the cost is $5 for anyone who wishes to drive into the bowl (those who walk-in are free of charge). The game begins at 2 p.m.

The area behind the new stadium building is still an active work zone, eliminating vehicle access to the stadium loop. At the end of the game, traffic will be instructed to exit the same way in which it entered – through the main stadium entrance.

As a reminder, tailgating ends 45 minutes following the conclusion of the football game.
