Officers from the North Carroll FFA chapter recently visited policy makers in Annapolis to commemorate FFA Week 2013 and to advocate for continued support of school-based agricultural education in Carroll County.

Elizabeth Hill, chapter president, and Libby McGarry, chapter treasurer, visited with Delegate Justin Ready and Senator Joseph Getty.  During the visits, Hill and McGarry thanked the officials for their support of education, agricultural education, and FFA leadership programs.  The students conveyed the benefits of agricultural education and FFA for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.

This information was taken from a Carroll County Public Schools news release.

I'd like to know why Carroll Community College does not offer a Sustainability Certification program when Prince George's Community College, a much more urban locale offers a popular and timely training program revolving around backyard farming and sustainability issues.
