Police Charge Man in Carroll, Howard Burglaries

Police departments in Carroll County and Howard County worked together to apprehend a suspect.

 

 

Since the beginning of March 2012, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the Howard County Police Department have responded to numerous daytime burglaries in which suspects entered victims' homes through rear unsecured/unlocked doors, according to a news release.

Police said that during a surveillance operation, a suspect was apprehended while allegedly committing a burglary in the southern part of Carroll County.

The suspect, who was identified as Kenneth William Vollmerhausen of the 4500 block of Broad Blvd. in Beltsville, MD, was arrested and charged with first degree burglary, theft less than $100 and malicious destruction of property, police said.
