Poll: Favorite Holiday Movie

Old or new, funny or serious, there are certain flicks we wait all year to see. What do you think are the best holiday movies?

Elf: Will Farrell dons a large green elf's outfit in this comedy that came out in 2003.

The Grinch: Jim Carey is mostly naughty and a little nice in this fantasy-comedy version of Dr. Suess' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" that hit theatres in 2000.

A Christmas Story: In this 1983 comedy, set in the 1940's, the audience watches 9-year-old "Ralphie" get through the holidays.

Home Alone: Released in 1990, this comedy is about Kevin McCallister, an eight-year-old boy, who is mistakenly left behind when his family flies to Paris for their Christmas vacation.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation: This 1989 film follows the Griswold family, starring Chevy Chase, through their hilarious Christmas holiday.

Scrooged: Released in 1988, Bill Murray stars in this comedy, a modernization of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol".

None of these are the great Christmas movies that my family watches each year: White Christmas, Christmas in Connecticut, Holiday Inn, Its a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol, the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas. . . Of the movies listed I really like A Christmas Story, and I also like The Santa Clause, but I don't consider any of the others "Classics"
