Maryland State troopers responded to a reported robbery at Hoffman’s ice cream, 934 Washington Road in Westminster, at about 6:50 p.m. on May 27.

According to police, the victim said an unknown male approached her as she was getting into her car and stole her purse. She chased the suspect into a field behind Hoffman's and the suspect fled into the surrounding neighborhood. The suspect may have gotten into a vehicle that was parked in the neighborhood and left the area, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid twenties, between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall, with blondish brown hair that is approximately one inch long.

The victim told police that the suspect did not have any facial hair or piercings on his face and he appeared to be clean cut.
