Snow in Saturday's Forecast for Carroll County

Two to four inches of snow may fall in Carroll County on Dec. 29.

Carroll County will get another round of snow before the new year begins, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow will start falling overnight Friday through late Saturday afternoon in Carroll County, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Approximately 2 to 4 inches will accumulate, the report said.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for the Baltimore-Washington area—including Carroll, Harford, northern Baltimore, and Frederick—from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. A winter weather advisory means that snow-covered roads and limited visibilities may make travel difficult.

Travel conditions Friday evening through Saturday will be "hazardous," the National Weather Service reported.

The State Highway Adminstration (SHA) suggested that motorists reconsider whether travel is necessary and stay off the roads until later in the day Saturday to allow crews time to clear the roads. If you must travel, the SHA recommends allowing extra time, taking it slow, and remember to never pass a snow plow or snow plow train.  The safest place to be is behind the plows, which are clearing the roads ahead.
