The 10 Best Breakfast Spots in Maryland + One for Good Measure

Do you like bacon with your bacon? Then this story is for you.

Have you ever thought of taking a tour of the best breakfast spots in your region of Maryland?

Look no further.

Patch readers in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore suburbs recently voted on where to go for their favorite breakfast. Winners ranged from the trendy spots tucked away in strip malls to the kid-friendly Main Street diners serving the basics and doing it right.

The following is the list highlighting the restaurants that received the top number of votes this week during the contest.

Eggspectation, 6010 University Blvd, Ellicott City, MD 21043. From yogurt parfait to short stacks, to, of course, eggs and bacon, Patch readers said their favorite place for breakfast in Ellicott City is Eggspectation. Started in Montreal in 1993, the restaurant has since spread -- throughout Canada, India and, in 2004, in the United States with Eggspectation Restaurants, LLC.

Bagel Bin & Deli, 8630 Guilford Rd Ste M, Columbia, MD 21046. You can get everything from bagels and coffee to specialty sandwiches at this joint that won the Best Breakfast poll in Columbia.

Duesenberg’s American Café and Grill, 10 Mellor Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228. Owner Gary Teegardin and his staff have a reputation in town for quality food, excellent service and huge portions. Catonsville Patch readers this week voted it as the top breakfast place in town.

The Bagelry, 36 Vital Way, Silver Spring, MD 20904. The bagel store and deli offers more than 15 kinds of bagels as well as a variety of pastries. A bagel with flavored cream cheese is $2.79.
