(Video) Congressman Van Hollen: Westminster 'Impressive'
Congressman Chris Van Hollen visited Carroll County Tuesday.
Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-MD, spent Tuesday on a "listening tour" of Westminster.
District 8, represented by Van Hollen, will soon include significant portions of Carroll and Frederick counties as a result of Gov. Martin O'Malley's redistricting plan.
Van Hollen, escorted by members of Westminster's Common Council and city administrators, visited Carroll Community College and businesses along Main Street in Westminster.
He said he enjoyed meeting citizens and business owners in Westminster and he found the city to be "impressive."
Van Hollen was scheduled to tour Sykesville after concluding his visit in Westminster.

Wow! For the first time in a long time a real Democratic leader in Carroll County! Representative Chris Van Holland brings fresh air to the stale, squabbling, anti-women's rights Republicans and a bumbling Republican Sheriff, who even I thought was above the mickey mouse games that allowed an alleged murderer to go free without trial, the lack of closure piling more grief on the murder victim's family.

Sorry for the mis-spelling of Chris's last name--- I guess my excitement got the best of me! It's correctly spelled
V A N H O L L E N!

I wonder if those 4 or 5 extreme right wingers Carroll County Commissioners especially rob-em frazier had enough guts to mee our new Democratic Congreesman. Maybe now she does not have to use her middle name (Bartlett) anymore.letting the pubp;ic think she was related to the congressman
