Week Ahead in Weather: Sun

The National Weather Service has a mild, sunny forecast this week.

We’re in for a great week if everything goes as planned.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has lots of sun in this week’s forecast, and temperatures getting warmer as we approach midweek. Monday will remain sunny with temperatures reaching about 70 degrees and dropping to about 50 for Monday night.

Tuesday, skies will be partly sunny and temperatures will hit about 76 degrees. At night, it will be mostly cloudy and temperatures will hit the high 50s.

Temperatures should peak Wednesday, reaching about 79 degrees with clear, sunny skies. On Wednesday night, temperatures will drop to about 60 degrees.

Skies remain mostly sunny Thursday, when temperatures reach the mid-70s, dropping to the mid-50s at night.

According to the NWS forecast discussion, it might be a little warmer than these temperatures suggest. A warm front is expected just north of us during the middle of the week. Thanks to a co-occurring high pressure area, we may see the "warmest stretch of days since early October. Daytime highs Tuesday through Thursday will approach and possibly exceed 80 degrees each day."

Add fairly clear skies, and each day will feel "warm and seasonable," the forecast discussion reads.

Friday looks good, too, with temperatures in the low 70s and clear, sunny skies.
