Three individuals were flown to Shock Trauma after the accident on Rt. 97.

A two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon sent two people to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and one to Carroll Hospital Center.

Terry Gail Clark, 58, of Pikesville was pronounced dead at Carroll Hospital Center.

According to the Westminster Fire Department website, an engine and ambulance were dispatched to a crash at Rt. 97 and Hook Road for a head on collision involving a Mustang and a Cavalier. Two rescue helicopters were called in while fire crews worked to remove the driver of the Mustang as well as the driver and a passenger from the Cavalier.

Clark was in the Cavalier driven by Ethel Neta Maddox, 51, of Pikesville according to the Baltimore Sun. They were traveling south on Route 97 when a northbound Ford Mustang driven by Michael Allen Smith, 55, of Highland, crossed the center line.
