Westminster Elections: Frazier, Wack, Whitson Elected to Common Council

Suzanne Albert, who has served on the council for 16 years, and Greg Pecoraro, were not re-elected.

 

Of the three Common Council candidates trying to get re-elected, only Robert Wack was successful. Newcomers Dennis Frazier and Paul Whitson will replace Suzanne Albert and Greg Pecoraro.

According to the election officials at Monday night's Common Council meeting, there were 719 votes cast in the Westminster Municipal election. Seven candidates were running for three seats. Frazier, Wack and Whitson will fill the three seats on the Common Council. 

The election officials reported the following results:

Suzanne Albert, 249 votes

Dennis Frazier, 366 votes

William Gill, 284 votes

Darcel Harris, 99 votes

Greg Pecoraro, 257 votes

Robert Wack, 295 votes

Paul Whitson, 356 votes

This was mostly about disgust by property owners with the 30% property tax increase.

Yet, Suzanne Albert was the only Council member voting against a 30% tax increase. Her unattainable experiences and contributions will be misssed. Hopefully, newly elected officials will bring much needed transparency to the Government operations. Especially the spending of tax payer's money.
