Children from the Westminster community share their most prized stories full of adventure, mystery, science, and silliness.

Patch asked children at the TownMall of Westminster during the National Education Association's Read Across America event Saturday to reveal their favorite books.

NEA celebrates its 13th year "focusing on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources," according to its website.

Taking place annually on or near the March 2 birthday of literary icon Dr. Seuss, schools, libraries and community centers across the country hold events that highlight the importance of reading.
