This year’s election is weighing heavy in the fashion department. How do you think President Obama and Governor Romney dress? Do they look professional enough to be the President of the United States? There have been a lot of debates between the two presidential candidates and it seems, after watching them, that most people focus on what they were wearing and how they presented themselves during the debate rather than the content. People put a lot of pressure on the way the candidates look and dress rather than their actual beliefs.
It is not fair that we decide the fate of our country for the next four years based on the designer of a suit. Instead of making an educated decision on the person we choose to run this country we decide to elect the one who “looks” more presidential. What are we going to do when the suit comes off and the true President is revealed? We have the potential to actually have our voices heard and to be represented by someone that we agree with. It is so sad that we let their looks get in the way.
