Carroll Community College will host the opera, Carmen by Georges Bizet, in the Scott Center Theater.
Carmen, the French tragic opera by Georges Bizet, is a story of love, jealousy and murder. It follows the fiery romance between Carmen and Don José, the inexperienced soldier. Their relationship causes him to commit mutiny, reject his former love, and join a band of smugglers. His jealousy when Carmen turns from him to the bullfighter Escamillo leads to murder.
Performance will be held at Carroll Community College in the Scott Center Theater on:

More About Carroll Community College
Carroll Community College was established as its own entity in 1993. The college has grown tremendously in the past five years and serves a diverse student body through campus-based classes as well as online classes. Associate degrees are offered in a variety of majors, some of the most popular being General Studies, Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Teacher Education and Nursing.
In 2009, 399 Associates degrees were awarded. All classrooms are "smart classrooms" and computer labs can be found in locations around campus.

The cast of Carmen is composed of regional professionals, Carroll faculty, college students, and community members, who have did a great job to bring this show to life. Beautiful music, sets, costumes, and it's only 2 hours plus intermission!
Full disclosure....I directed, but still I highly recommend it.
