In October Maryland had an increase in the number of homes sold as compared to October of 2012 (18.9%) according to the Maryland Association of Realtors’ (MAR) monthly housing statistics.
However, MAR’s monthly statistics show that Carroll County had a 8.9% decrease in the number of houses sold in October as compared to October 2012; 123 in October 2013 versus 135 in October 2012. MAR also reported that 149 homes are under contract and still pending final sale; while the active inventory (homes listed for sale) ending in October was 831 units available.
