Chaplain Colonel Jeffry Dull, USAF Retired, provided the keynote address at the annual Veteran’s Day Celebration at Carroll Lutheran Village on November 11.
Chaplain Colonel Dull, a 30-year military chaplain, talked about the challenges facing today’s troops as they return from active service. He noted that troops are returning with a high prevalence of lost limbs, post-traumatic stress disorder and head injuries that can be challenging to both the veteran and his/her family.
He also acknowledged that today’s troops are well-treated and welcomed home by the public compared to the past.
Carroll Lutheran Village is a continuing care retirement community in Westminster with nearly 400 homes and apartments, 50 assisted living suites and 103 skilled nursing beds.
