CLV Golf Tournament Raises Over $80,000

The 16th Annual Carroll Lutheran Village Golf Tournament was held on June 8 at The Links at Gettysburg. 

 

The event featured 18-holes of golf, a live and silent auction and a raffle.  More than $80,000 was raised to support the Ministry of Caring fund, which provides assistance to residents of Carroll Lutheran Village who have outlived their financial resources.

The tournament features six divisions.  The Open Division is for men ages 49 and under.  The Senior Division is for men ages 50-59.  The Super-Senior Division is for men ages 60-69.  The Gold Division is for men ages 70-79.  The Platinum Division is for men ages 80 or older.  The Iron Ladies Division is for women of any age.

$500 Raffle winners:  Bryan Carney, Bill Dugan and Jean Stockhausen

Putting Contest: The team of Jason Davey, Michael Geesey Steven Ness and Scott Wheeler

Closest to the Pin: Beth Hill, Shaun Kroeck, Danny Shearer.

Longest Drive: Bob Bare, Steve Brand, Jeff Gray, Sarah Lentz, Jim Renner and Mike Rolfes.

Open Division: First place – Dan Peters, second place – Mike Rolfes.

Senior Division: First place – Tom Rasmussen, second place – George Hasser

Super-Senior Division: First place – Al Pinocci, second place – Carl Rebert

Gold Division: First Place – Nick Delia, second place – Steve Brand

Platinum Division: First place – Robert Bare, second place – Frank Schaefer

 

The Ministry of Caring fund typically provides between $1 million and $2 million in support to residents each year.  Funding is supported through philanthropic gifts and fundraising, including the annual golf tournament.

Carroll Lutheran Village is a not-for-profit accredited continuing care retirement community in Westminster that includes 398 homes and apartments, 50 assisted living suites in the Diven House and 103 skilled nursing beds in the Health Care Center.
