Good Samaritan Helps Spread Holiday Cheer

In the last few days before the holiday break, clients from our Vocation program were hard at work in our Job Training facility at the Mall learning about on the job etiquette when a kind gentleman walked in.  After a brief introduction, he told the group that he had heard a lot about CHANGE and the work we do for our community and the people we help.  He wanted to share his Holiday Cheer and buy each of the clients attending the workshop that day a gift.  The group gathered their coats and proceeded to walk with their instructor Marybeth down to the store where the man asked them to meet him.

Upon arriving at the HomeGamers (a sports memorabilia store in the Mall) the clients were told by the Good Samaritan that they could pick out any t-shirt they wanted.  It’s no secret that CHANGE clients are HUGE Ravens and Orioles fans, so they were delighted.  But which team to choose?  Luckily the store had a shirt that combines both teams.  Win/win!  In addition to the t-shirt, clients also received paracord bracelets and decals that they could take back to the Vocational Center and share.

Our clients would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the gentleman (that wished to remain anonymous) who helped brighten their holidays and teach the lesson of giving.
