NoWorriesIT Recycles Computers for Charity

NoWorriesIT is sponsoring their seventh bi-annual Recycling Computers for Charity collection drive beginning January 20th through February 14th. Old, non-restorable computers that would otherwise end up at the landfill  are collected and the hard drives are removed. This year NoWorriesIT is partnering with All-Shred, Inc. in Frederick, MD, who will be donating their media shredding services to shred the hard drives. The rest of the computers and cables are taken to a local recycling center for a cash rebate, which NoWorriesIT then matches and donates to The Arc Carroll County.  Computer donation can be dropped off at one of five convenient drop-off sites:  NoWorriesIT office in the Airport Business Park at 57 Aileron Court, Suite 14 in Westminster,  Cartridge World at 330 140 Village Road in Westminster,  Carroll County Screen Printing at 1 Broad Street in Taneytown, Edward Jones at 4231 North Woods Trail, Suite C in Hampstead, or S. B. Technology Resource in Mount Airy (call 410-608-5299 for S. B. Technology drop-off) anytime during the January 20th – February 14th drive. “We are committed to educating people about keeping their data safe through hard drive sanitization or shredding as well as keeping equipment out of the local landfills,” says McCombie.
