2013 Rewind: Westminster High Grad Remains at Shock Trauma After November Accident
Devan Curet continues to recover at Shock Trauma six weeks after a car accident.
Devan Curet, a 2013 Westminster High School graduate and former member of the boys basketball team, was critically injured in a two-vehicle car accident on Md. 482 on Nov. 13. He remains at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
According to a Caring Bridge website set up by Devan's family, in the days following the accident, Devan had one leg amputated and underwent dozens of surgeries to repair other life-threatening injuries sustained in the accident.
Devan continues to get intensive medical treatment at Shock Trauma, with regular surgeries and tests.
Devan's family sent a "Happy New Year" message from Devan via the Caring Bridge website. They said Devan's recovery is progressing and they are hopeful that he will be moved to a rehab center before too long.
