44th Annual Flower & Plant Market

  • Where:  3311 Littlestown Pike, Westminster
  • When: Friday, May 3, 12 – 4 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 10 a.m. -4 p.m.
  • Description:  The Union Mills Homestead, a National Historic Landmark, holds its first event of the season the first weekend in May.  Guests are invited to choose from a large selection of quality plants and purchase additional offerings from weekend vendors. 
  • Cost:  Free

Mystery Dinner Theatre

  • Where:  Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 Saint Luke Cir, Westminster
  • When:  Friday, May 3, 7 p.m.
  • Description:  The Friends of the Village Auxiliary will host an Elvis-themed Mystery Dinner Theatre on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4 in Krug Chapel Auditorium at Carroll Lutheran Village. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Dinner and the show begin at 7:00 p.m.
  • Cost:  $40

All You Can Eat "Taco Buffet"

  • When:  Saturday, May 4, 4 -7 p.m.
  • Description:  Taco dinner, door prizes, silent auction, and more.
  • Cost: Adults: $8 / Children (5-12) $4 / Children (5 and under) Free

Friends of BSA Troop 420 Annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction

  • Where:  St. John’s Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St, Westminster
  • When:  Saturday, May 4, 4 p.m.
  • Description:  Annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction sponsored by the Friends of Boy Scout Troop 420.  Silent Auction bidding is available throughout the event. Items include Ravens and Orioles Game Tickets, Sports Memorabilia and more.
  • Cost: Adults: $8 / Children under 7 and any Cub, Boy Scout, Brownie or Girl Scout in Uniform with a paying adult are free.

Sykesville Fire Department Spring Fling

  • Where:  6680 Sykesville Rd, Eldersburg
  • When:  Saturday, May 4, 8 a.m.
  • Description:   Crafts Show, Vendors Show, Yard Sale and Flea market.  Food and drinks will be available from the Fire department. Entertainment during the day. 
  • Cost: Free

Finally Heard

  • Where:  Carroll County Arts Center, 91 West Main Street, Westminster
  • When:  Friday, May 3, 8 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2 p.m.
  • Description:  Maryland Ensemble Theatre presents this original play that tells the story of six remarkable women during the Civil War.
  • Cost: $12

Clyde Gibson Fishing Derby

  • Where:  Prospect Park, Mount Airy
  • When:  Saturday, May 4, 7 a.m. – 11 a.m.
  • Description:  21st annual kids fishing derby. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and fishing is permitted from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.  Prizes are given to the fisherman who lands the first and second biggest fish in length and the smallest in length, also the most combined total weight of fish caught.  The contest is open to participants from the tri-county area from ages 2 - 16 years of age.  No license is required for the event.  Younger children should be accompanied by a parent or someone who can help safely bait the hook and remove fish from the hook. 
  • Cost:  Free

Trash to Treasures Fleamarket

  • Where:  Carrolltown Center Parking Lot, 6400 Ridge Rd, Eldersburg
  • When:  Saturday, May 4, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Description:  Household items, furniture, tools, jewelry and more.
  • Cost: Free
