Anti-Abortion Demonstrators Coming to Westminster Wednesday
Be aware if driving through the area Wednesday, this organization often uses graphic images to send its message.
Defend Life, an anti-abortion education and activism organization, will be demonstrating in Westminster Wednesday, according to the organization's website.
The demonstration will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, at the intersection of Main Street and Railroad Avenue (Rt 27 and Main).
The group uses graphic images on signage and posters, so be prepared if driving through downtown Westminster with young children Wednesday evening. The group said it uses these graphic images "to save lives."
According to the Defend Life website, "People who see these images never feel the same about abortion again. These pictures save lives, convert minds and hearts, and break through the denial that allows abortion to continue in this country."
The organization will be demonstrating in 15 cities throughout Maryland this week as part of its "Maryland Face the Truth Tour."
Westminster Police Chief Jeffrey Spaulding said there will be a small complement of police officers in the area to ensure that everything is done legally and safely.
