  • When:  Saturday, May 25, 1 p.m.
  • Description:  Local Author from Hampstead Michelle B Smith is releasing her 3rd Book from The Broken Road Series - Journey of Deception this Friday May 10 2013.

Bagel Run

  • Where:  Parking lot of the Carroll Town Mall near the BoA.
  • When:  Saturday, May 25, 8 a.m.
  • Description:  The Eldersburg Rogue Runners, an affiliate of FARC, hosts a Bagel Run each Saturday Morning at 8 a.m.
  • Cost:  Free

Caribbean Wine, Music, and Arts Festival

  • Where:  Linganore Winery, 13601 Glissans Mill Road, Mt. Airy
  • When:  Saturday, May 25 – Sunday, May 26, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.  
  • Description:  Caribbean music, wine, and art festival at Linganore Winecellars.
  • Cost:  21 & Older: $20 / 18-20: $15 / Under 18: Free with an adult

Gamber & Community Fire Company Carnival

  • Where:  Gamber Volunteer Fire Department, 3838 Niner Road, Gamber
  • When:  Saturday, May 25 – June 1, 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.  
  • Description:  Rides, food, games and entertainment. Free fireworks Monday night, Memorial Day, May 27th.
  • Cost:  Free

10 x 10 Art Exhibit

  • Where:  Carroll Arts Center, 91 W. Main Street, Westminster
  • When:  April 18 – June 7
  • Description:  Unique art exhibit commemorates the Arts Center's 10th anniversary. Features more than 100 works of art -- all exactly 10 inches by 10 inches, and all for sale at $100 each. 
  • Cost:  Free

One Wacky Weekend

  • Where:  325 Royer Road, Westminster
  • When:   Saturday, May 25 – Monday May 27, 12 – 7 p.m.
  • Description:  Grand Opening of the Westminster Municipal Pool. The first 100 through the gates and get a great Recreation and Parks tote bag.  Sunday, the first 100 get a pair of stylish new sunglasses and on Monday visitors are invited to join in games and listen to tunes with DJ Mr. B.

Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

  • Where:  Main Street, Westminster
  • When:  Monday, May 27, 10 a.m.
  • Description:  The Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. on Pennsylvania Avenue and ends on Church Street at the Westminster Cemetery. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the cemetery. 
  • Cost:  Free

Taneytown Fishing Derby

  • Where:  Roberts Mill Park Pond
  • When:  Saturday, May 25, 8-11 a.m.
  • Description:  Children all ages through 12 years are invited to attend yet must be accompanied by adult. Registration is free and takes place 8 to 9 a.m.; Derby begins at 9 a.m. weather permitting. All participants’ catches will be judged based on age group with prizes awarded for the largest catches in each age group. Please bring your own rods, bait, and bucket.
  • Cost: Free
