What would the guns protect us from? The astronomical crime rate in Carroll County? All the rapes and murders here? What other fundamental rights shall we restrict? Some books are dangerous - surely we can ban those dangerous books, and especially the high-capacity encyclopedias - no one but a criminal (or an authorized librarian) needs those. And churches ... some religions are OK, but some of them are a little too strange. -- Henry Heymering

We have been under funding infrastructure for the last few decades. It is one of the main reasons China and the rest of the world that invests in itself (infrastructure ) are kicking our butts economically. This sounds promising. I would only caution that the resume -- long-time state trooper, one-time commander of Westminster barracks, living with wife and kids in Carroll County -- sounds VERY familiar. We have been there and done that. The devil will be in the details. -- Ed
