Dogs, Cats, Hamsters and a “Magic” Rooster Available at the Humane Society
Here is a short list of some of the pets available for adoption at the Carroll County Humane Society.
Dannie is a 5-month-old female Lab/Hound mix. She loves being with people and is already doing well with potty training. She would do best in a yard with a tall fence because she flew over her last owner’s fence like it was a fun challenge rather than a barrier.
Rosanne is a 6-year-old female Beagle. She is described as ‘truly sweet, lovable, happy and delightful girl’. Weighing in at 51.6 lbs., she is in need of a diet but sure to lose the weight fast with the encouragement of a family that loves her.

Drake is a 9-week-old male Bully breed. He and his 9-week-old brother Josh are both looking for good homes where they can grow up big, strong and happy.
Chinook is a 1-year-old female Siberian Husky with a beautiful coat and sky blue eyes. She would do best in a home with no small kids or cats so she can remain on her best behavior.

Raisin is a 6-monthold male cat. He is ‘ripe and sweet’ and ready to show off his wonderful personality to his new owner.
Queenie is a 4-year-old spayed female cat who loves to have her chin scratched. She has a very “unique” tail that she would love to show off to anyone who comes to visit her soon.
Lina is an 8-month-old female cat who knows how to make a game out of anything. She is a bit shy but is sure to come out of her shell when she gets to know her new family.
Selena is a 2-year-old spayed female cat. She loves all the comforts of home, especially curling up in a pile of pillows. She hopes to find a new home soon, complete with lots of pillows.
Charlie is a 7-week-old male Russian Dwarf Hamster. He and his 5 sisters Pat, Chris, Kelly, Sabrina and Jill are all up for adoption. He knows that they will all make wonderful pets so he hopes that everyone will come out to meet them ASAP. Adoption fee $3.00 each.
Harry Potter is a 2-month-old Ameraucana Rooster. He is certain that he has magic powers that he would love to show off to his new owners ASAP. Adoption fee $3.00.
