In Search of a Place to Call Home: Adopt a Pet

Here is a short list of some of the pets available for adoption at the Carroll County Humane Society.

Bear is a 2-year-old male Pomeranian.  He has lots of energy and loves to run but also loves to cuddle up close.

Cowboy is a 6-year-old neutered male Miniature Pinscher.   He is described as a ‘super sweet boy’ but is also described as a ‘special placement’.  To find out why, give the Humane Society a call at 410-848-4810.

Daisy is a 3-year-old is a female Bully Breed mix.  She is described as a ‘delicate laid back kinda girl who love to cuddle’.  She is well loved at the Humane Society but is hoping to find love in her new family soon.

Buddy is a 2-year-old male Lab/Bully breed mix who is sure to become a great friend to everyone in his new family.  He is very strong so he would do best in a home with older children.

Baby Girl is a 4-year-old female Lab/Pointer mix.  She has a lot of patience and loves getting spoiled.  She can’t wait to start spending time with her new owner.

Tux is a 1 ½ year old male Tuxedo cat.  He is a nice boy who loves spending time with people and getting tons of attention.  Tux is all ‘dressed up’ and ready to go to his new home ASAP.

Doug is a 1-year-old neutered male cat.  He has cute little fangs that stick out and give him a particularly lovely smile.  He hopes to get a visit soon so he can show off his pretty grin.

Callie is a 2-year-old female Calico cat.  She is very ‘chill’ with beautiful markings and striking eyes.

Mittens is a 3-year-old spayed female cat.  She is a loving girl who can’t wait to find a new place to call home.

Billie is a 4-year-old Gelding Arabian Cross.  He is 14.2 hands and 750 lbs.  He hopes to find a new home where he can find lots of love and lots of room to run and trot.  Adoption fee $300.00.

Cuddles and Snickers are 4-year-old female Guinea Pigs.  They have unique colors and would love to go to a home together where they can live out their lives in the same family.  Adoption fee $20.00.

Cats are spayed by the Westminster Veterinary Hospital.

Congratulations graduates! May you be as successful in the next part of your journey as you were atRead More St. John School.

I don't live in your district and I am not a member of your party. I have watched you during yourRead More meetings with the commissioners and you handle things very well. You have a balance of private and public sector experience which is a necessary background to have to guide the county. It will be nice to have a competent person with your qualifications to run against someone who is totally unqualified but never had any opposition in the last election. Now she will have to attend the voter forums and explin her views and positions. Let the chips fall where they may. The emperor will have no clothes.

Wow, this is great news. Hopefully, 1 down and 4 to go!! Make sure Frazier shows up at theRead More political forums this time. She chose to miss every one last time, so she did not have to answer questions on her positions and her horrible record the first time around in 1998-2002. She will try to do that again to get re-elected.

If Frazier runs for reelection in 2014, I hope someone will have the nerve to ask her pointblank, onRead More camera, about her relationship to Roscoe Bartlett. Folks who've been around Carroll County for a while know the answer: there is no relation. She just tacked that on when she decided to run the first time. It may be her maiden name - or not - but she has never bothered to answer the question. She just let folks assume there is a connection, and lots of folks fell for it.
