Why to go:  Children from 3 to 6 years old will discover what Carroll County was like in the 1800s. They will travel back in time through themed stories, songs and crafts or activities. This one hour program will focus on a different topic each month and will conclude with a craft or activity that will reinforce the theme. Wendy Raith will be the instructor for each class.

To develop their independence, we suggest children only during story time. Parents and caregivers will rejoin the child and assist with the craft or activity. Of course, everyone is welcome to remain with the child for the story if you wish. The accompanying adult must remain on site during the one hour program. There will be a room available for adults to gather during the story time.

This month's story time introduces various toys from the 1800s. Your child will be able to play with different toys and create their very own to take home and keep. After class, you and your child can explore our Playthings of the Past exhibit in the first floor exhibit gallery.  You can also check out the variety of traditional toys in The Shop at Cockey's.

There are limited openings available so don't delay! Call today to register: 410-848-6494

Pricing: $5.00 charge and pre-registration is required.
