Table Tennis Tournament

  • When:  Saturday, Jan. 12, 10 a.m.
  • Description:  The Maryland Table Tennis Association hosts The Maryland Circuit Table Tennis Tournament.

Westminster Wildcat Flapjack Fundraiser

  • Where:  Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar, 634 Baltimore Blvd, Westminster
  • When: Saturday, Jan. 12, 8 a.m.
  • Description:  All you can eat pancakes, sausage, and beverages served by the Wildcat cheerleaders to raise money for the Wildcat Competition Cheer Squad.
  • Cost: $7

 

Zumbatomic class for kids

  • Where: Westminster Family Center, 11 Longwell Avenue
  • When: Saturday, Jan. 12, ages 4-7 9-9:45 a.m. and ages 8-12 10-11 a.m.
  • Description: Zumbatomic classes are high-energy fitness-parties that offer real results. Packed with specially choreographed routines and the latest music, like hip-hop, reggaeton and cumbia, Zumbatomic classes increase focus and self-confidence, boost metabolism and improve coordination. More than just a great reason to head to the gym, Zumbatomic classes make getting fit a fun family experience too.

Freedom Fitness 6th Annual Open House - Free Classes All Day

  • Where:   Freedom Fitness, 6400 Ridge Rd, Eldersburg
  • When:  Saturday, Jan, 12, 7:30 a.m.
  • Description:  6th Annual Open House allows members and non-members to try all classes for free.  Free babysitting 8:30 a.m. -1 p.m.  Classes include Zumba Fitness, Belly Dance Bollywood Bhangra, Introduction to Pilates and more.
  • Cost: Free

 

Sunday Singles Over 21 Dance

  • Where:  Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Department, 1320 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville
  • When:  Saturday, Jan. 12, 7:30 p.m.
  • Description:  Sunday singles monthly dance, music provided by DJ Ken.  BYOB, soda and water $1, light snacks provided. Couples are also welcome.
  • Cost:  $10

 

Brunch on the Hill

  • Where:  Englar Dining Hall, McDaniel College 2 College Hill, Westminster
  • When:  Sunday, Dec. 13, 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
  • Description:  Sunday Brunch on the Hill includes a special brunch buffet and live music. Cost for brunch is $12 per person, which includes one mimosa or Bloody Mary (or $7.75 per person without an alcoholic beverage).
  • Cost:  $12

 

Country Style Breakfast Buffet

  • Where:  St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Social Hall, 44 Frederick St., Taneytown
  • When:   Sunday, Jan. 13, 7 a.m. – 12 noon
  • Description:  All you can eat breakfast sponsored by Knights of Columbus.  Breakfast includes French Toast, Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage and more.
  • Cost: Adults $7, Children 7-10 $3.50, (6 & under Free). EARLY BIRD SPECIAL 7-8 a.m.: Adults $6, Children (7 - 10) $3

 

Unplug and Play! at the Taneytown Branch library

  • Where: Taneytown Branch Library, 10 Grand Dr.
  • When: Saturday, Jan. 13, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Description: For ages 5 – adults. Checkers, Chess, Mancala, Chinese Checkers, Yahtzee, Uno, Crazy Eights, Apples to Apples. Whatever your game, we've got them all. Bring your friends and family for a fun afternoon of classic games.
  • Cost: Free
