Holiday Tour

  • Where:  500 S Center St, Westminster
  • When:  Friday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, & Sunday, Dec. 10, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Description:  Holiday theme tours, Santa, wagon rides on weekends, light food.
  • Cost: $5

 

Breakfast with Santa

  • Where: Rafael's, 32 W Main St, Westminster
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 8, 8 a.m.
  • Description:  Menu for children under 12 includes M&M pancakes, Banana Pancakes, French toast sticks and more.
  • Cost: $5.00

 

Christmas Bazaar & Luncheon

  • Where:   St Mary's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3978 Littlestown Pike,Westminster
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 8, 9 a.m.
  • Description:  St. Mary’s Evangelical Lutheran Church hosts a Christmas bazaar and luncheon.  Bazaar includes crafts, baked goods, silent auction and more. Proceeds to benefit Carroll Lutheran School, Silver Run Community Food Pantry and the DE/MD Synod.
  • Cost: Free

 

Starry Night Gala

  • Where:  Carroll Community College, 1601 Washington Rd, Westminster
  • When: Friday, Dec. 7, 6 p.m.
  • Description:  Formal cocktail hour followed by performance by The Men Live.
  • Cost: $150

 

Country Breakfast Buffet

  • Where:  Ascension Episcopal Church, 23 N Court St, Westminster
  • When: Friday, Dec. 7, 7 a.m.  
  • Description:  Breakfast for a family of (4) - two children - two adults.
  • Cost: $20

 

Country Holiday Crafts

  • Where: Piney Run Park, 30 Martz Rd, Sykesville
  • When: Saturday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m.
  • Description:  Piney Run hosts holiday crafts gathering including workshops, demonstrations, music, refreshments and more.
  • Cost: $25

 

Kid's Day of Play

  • Where:  Century High School, 355 Ronsdale Rd, Sykesville
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Description:  Century High School Music Boosters host a day of fun for kids. 
  • Cost:  $25

 

Sunday Singles Over 21 Dance

  • Where:  6315 Sykesville Rd, Eldersburg
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 8, 7:30 p.m.
  • Description:  Singles dance includes light snacks and music by DJ Ken.  BYOB.
  • Cost:  $10

 

Free Concert - Fugitive Brass Quintet

  • Where:  Springfield Presbyterian Church, 7314 Spout Hill Rd, Sykesville
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 9, 3 p.m.
  • Description:   Springfield Presbyterian Church hosts “The Fugitive Brass Quintet”.
  • Cost: Free

I don't live in your district and I am not a member of your party. I have watched you during yourRead More meetings with the commissioners and you handle things very well. You have a balance of private and public sector experience which is a necessary background to have to guide the county. It will be nice to have a competent person with your qualifications to run against someone who is totally unqualified but never had any opposition in the last election. Now she will have to attend the voter forums and explin her views and positions. Let the chips fall where they may. The emperor will have no clothes.

Wow, this is great news. Hopefully, 1 down and 4 to go!! Make sure Frazier shows up at theRead More political forums this time. She chose to miss every one last time, so she did not have to answer questions on her positions and her horrible record the first time around in 1998-2002. She will try to do that again to get re-elected.

Folks who've been around Carroll County for a while know the answer: there is no relation. She just tacked that on when she decided to run the first time. It may be her maiden name - or not - but she has never bothered to answer the question. She just let folks assume there is a connection, and lots of folks fell for it.
