Carroll County String Project Faculty Recital

  • Description:  The Carroll County String Project announces its first faculty recital. The recital will feature faculty from around the world, playing a fun, eclectic mix of music.

  • Description:  Annual Mother's Day Weekend Open Studio featuring Slim Harrison Sunnyland Music, handmade pottery, raku, throwing, spinning, blacksmithing demonstrations and more.

Carroll County Farmers' Market "Mother’s Day Show"

  • Where:  Carroll County Farmers' Market, 706 Agriculture Center Drive, Westminster
  • When:  Saturday, May 11, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Description:  Fresh local produce in season, baked goods, eggs, honey, gourmet foods, jams and jellies, handmade crafts and more. Breakfast and lunch served. Free plant to first 200 moms.

Westminster Flower and Jazz Festival

  • Where:  Historic Downtown Westminster Main Street
    Westminster
  • When:  Saturday, May 11, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Description:  Unique jewelry, crafts, plants, shrubbery, and flowers right on Main Street. Local shops and restaurants also open. Music by local bands.
  • Cost:  Free

Sykesville Cinema

  • Where:  South Branch Park, 350 W. Friendship Rd. Sykesville
  • When:  Saturday, May 11, Dusk
  • Description:  "Finding Nemo" (G). Movie-goes are invited to bring lawn chairs and enjoy a free movie under the stars. Concessions available. Hotline 443-300-8724 for questionable weather conditions.
