Century High School's Bye Bye Birdie

  • Where:   Century High School, 355 Ronsdale Rd, Sykesville
  • When:  April 11, 12, 13, 19 and 20, 7 p.m., Saturday, April 13 at 2 p.m.
  • Description:  Century High Schools Opening Knights proudly present Bye Bye Birdie.
  • Cost: $10

Quarter Mania Fundriaser

  • When:  Friday, April 12, 7 p.m.
  • Description:  Carroll County Young Marines Fundraiser.  $5 Reserved Tickets in advance will receive 2 game paddles.  $8 at the door will receive 1 game paddle.
  • Cost:  $5

Chesapeake Regional FIRST Robotics Competition

  • Where:  1 W Pratt St, Baltimore
  • When:  Saturday, April 13, 9 a.m.
  • Description:  A three-day competition between 64 robots all build by high school students from around the country will take place April 11-13 at the Baltimore Convention Center.  FIRST Robotics includes programs for ages 6-18, and this event includes a sampling of all of the programs, but is focused on the 'big robots'.  This year their challenge is to fire Frisbees up to 50 into goals set in the walls of the arena, and then to climb or hang on pyramidal 'monkey bars'.

Westminster Lions Club Mulch Sale

  • Where:  Saturday, April 13, 7:30 a.m.
  • When:  1211 Old Manchester Rd, Westminster
  • Description:  1 Yard delivered - $29.00; 2 Yards delivered - $29.00 per yard; 3 Yards or more delivered - $28.00 per yard.  Proceeds benefit the Westminster Lions Club.
  • Cost:  Free

  • Where:  59 Kate Wagner Rd, Westminster
  • When:  Saturday, April 13, 9 a.m.
  • Description:  This is a family friendly event with sponsor booths, refreshments, kids court complete with face painting and sidewalk chalk. 
  • Cost: $20 to race.  $20 to walk the nature trail.  $30 to add a commemorative t-shirt. 

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

  • Where:  Westminster City Park, 11 Longwell Ave, Westminster
  • When:  Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m.
  • Description:   5th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®. The Walk will begin at 11am at Dutterers Park.  The walkers will then venture out of the park, on to Pennsylvania Avenue, and then to Main Street. The walk will continue up Main Street and make a turn down Center Street to conclude the walk at Westminster City Park. The walk will be held rain or shine. The International Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence.
  • Cost:  $25
